The Vitreoretinal Society of Nigeria (VRSN) is the Vitreo Retinal Subspecialty Working Group of her parent body the Ophthalmological Society of Nigeria (OSN) which was established in 2009 with a handful of members. Since then its membership has grown to more than 50 nationwide and in the diaspora. The Society has gone to great lengths in promoting, protecting and maintaining robust standards in the training, research and clinical service delivery regarding diseases of the vitreous and retina as well as policy formulation in Nigeria.
To provide world class services and best practices in medical and surgical care of patients with vitreoretina diseases in Nigeria through training of retina specialists and conducting quality research.
