The Transactions of the Ophthalmological Society of Nigeria is an official journal of the Ophthalmological Society of Nigeria and publishes proceedings from the annual congress of the Society.
The publications comprise of referenced abstracts of presentations during the congress.
The scope of articles include clinical, laboratory and community medicine, basic medical sciences, medical technology, as well as the economics and management of health care delivery, especially in the African environment as they relate to the eyes. Articles are considered on the basis of subspecialty of Ophthalmology affected, including but not restricted to cornea and anterior segment, glaucoma, low vision, orbit and oculoplasty, vitreoretinal, neuro-ophthalmology, paediatric ophthalmology, and public health ophthalmology.

The Transactions of the Ophthalmological Society of Nigeria is published yearly by the Ophthalmological Society of Nigeria (OSN). The annual subscription rate for each issue of the journal is as follows:
Individuals: $50 or Naira equivalent
Institutions: $75 or Naira equivalent
