Nigerian Journal of Ophthalmology, a publication of Ophthalmological Society of Nigeria, is a peer-reviewed online journal with Semiannual print on demand compilation of issues published. The journal allows free access to its contents and permits authors to self-archive final accepted version of the articles on any OAI-compliant institutional / subject-based repository. The journal does not charge for submission, processing or publication of manuscripts and even for color reproduction of photographs.

Global Blindness: Planning and Managing Eye Care Services [Free Online Course] A free online course developed by the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM), a world leader in research and postgraduate education in public and global health. The course is intended for all health care providers, health managers, NGO staff with an interest, and some experience of, eye care health services among others. It lasts for 6 weeks and covers topics which include: Epidemiological data on the causes and prevalence of blindness and visual impairment, Key public health strategies for cataract and refractive error, Health systems strengthening and The principles of monitoring and evaluation among others.
