World Sight Day 2017 - "Make Vision Count"
World Sight Day is the most important advocacy and communications event on the eye health calendar and a great time to engage with the world at large – a patient’s family, those who seldom get an eye exam, diabetics.

42nd AGM & Scientific Conference - "Sustainable Development Goals and Eye Care Delivery in Nigeria"
August 22nd - 25th 2017, Kaduna, the "Crocodile City" will host the 42nd AGM & Scientific Conference of OSN themed "Sustainable Development Goals and Eye Care Delivery in Nigeria".
There will be special pre-conference activities which will include training courses and opportunities to participate in the ophthalmic care of the citizens within the State.

41st AGM & Scientific Conference Officially Underway
It's finally here!
Yesterday was arrivals day and most of the conference participants started to arrive the Hotel Presidential, official venue of the AGM and Scientific Conference.
Todays events will begin with sub-specialty meetings at the designated venues. Following the meetings will be the Welcome Cocktail with an opportunity for all participants to meet and greet. At the end of the cocktail, Council members will assemble for the Council Meeting.

World Glaucoma Week 2016
World Glaucoma Week is a joint initiative between the World Glaucoma Association and the World Glaucoma Patient Association and strives to contribute to the elimination of glaucoma blindness by alerting people to have regular eye checks, including optic nerve checks. This year it will hold from March 6-12, 2016.

The 35th World Ophthalmology Congress WOC 2016 has held in the city of Guadalajara, Mexico between Friday 5th and Tuesday 9th of February 2016.
The 41st Annual General Meeting and Scientific conference of the Ophthalmological Society of Nigeria (OSN) is scheduled to hold from the 23rd to 28th of August, 2016 at the Hotel Presidential, Port Harcourt.
The Faculty of Ophthalmology National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria cordially invites all members of OSN to the 17th Annual Faculty Lecture and Launching of Faculty endowment fund on Friday, 15th July 2016 at 9.30 am at the Moot Court, University of Nigeria Enugu Campus.
The World Glaucoma Week shall be held worldwide and in Nigeria from Sunday 6th March to Saturday 12th March 2016 and the topic for this year is B-I-G an acronym for BEAT INVINCIBLE GLAUCOMA.

World Sight Day (WSD) 2015
World Sight Day is an annual global event aimed at raising awareness about blindness and vision impairment. It is observed on the second Thursday of October each year. This year's event was themed "Eye care for all".
